Neo-Classical Limited Edition (Japan)

In our last post (Ice Cream Colors[Link]), I mentioned that they had been released in Japan as the 55^th Anniversary Edition, but that they seemed to be a Very Limited release there. That makes sense because in December 2025, Pentel Japan announced on their Instagram the Neo-Classical Limited Edition Colors as the “official” 55^th Anniversary pencil.

This is a series of 6 P205 pencils molded in the colors (as opposed to painted) with contrasting text.

P200, P200 Family, Pentel

Cores de Sorvete / Ice Cream Colors (Brazil)

In August 2025 in the Pentel of Brazil 2025-2026 catalog, these pencils were announced, but were not ready for release. The catalog showed the pencils, but did not list the color codes nor the barcodes. It just had a note saying “Em Breve” (Shortly).

These pencils are a clear body with a colored reservoir. This style of pencil is often called a Skeleton, since you can see the “bones” of the pencil.

In mid-November 2025, the pencils were finally released in 0.5 and 0.7mm versions.

Also about this time there was an announcement in Japan that they were being released there as the 55^th Anniversary Edition. A few of these turned up with the same model numbers, but just a few months later, they were not able to be found in Japan.

This Black pencil was not listed as one of the pencils in the Japan 55^th Anniversary Edition.

Tradicionais Japoneasas (Brazil)

The Tradicionais Japoneas pencils were released in Brazil on August 2024. These are the same colors as the Kimono Box Set, but with the traditional P200 text on the side.

Pentel Brazil released these in the 4 colors in each of the 4 standard sizes for a total of 16 pencils.
